DID YOU KNOW?
There are many strategies that give the employee an upper hand in our current labour markets. Do any of these situations ring a bell? Do you have unique circumstances of your own?
- Always feeling like you are behind the ball on hiring staff
- Tired of employees leaving the job after a few months
- Continuously
- raising wages to keep your current staff
- Holding back growth or turning down orders
- Closing the doors certain days of the week
- Looking at the potential of permanent closure
- Not receiving any applications for your open job postings
There are so many reasons employers need to find a new solution to the old ways of hiring and operating a business. Creating a global recruitment strategy is your solution. Recruit Without Borders is here to meet with you and your team to find a method so these problems are all in the past.
ADVANTAGES
RETENTION
It is a domestic labour issue. The Temporary Foreign Worker Program is one of the only streams in Canada to secure foreign workers with closed work permits. Meaning the worker you want to hire is dedicated to your business from 2-3 years and can’t simply go apply anywhere else due to the structure work permits granted to them.
SALARIES
When a company applies for an LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) and work permit for their new candidate the salaries are set. Salaries offered must always follow the provincial median wage guidelines or higher. That said it becomes the employers discretion once again to offer raises based on merit and never have to match competitors offers trying to pull staff away from your business.
OVERTIME
Similar to salaries, this becomes an issue of the past. By implementing the right strategy your business can once again be fully staffed and not rely on the current staff to make up extra overtime hours just to keep the business running.
BURNOUT
Many labour studies have come out in the recent years explaining how the domestic labour shortage is also leading to much higher numbers of staff resignations. Eliminate burnout in your current staff with a foreign worker to help level out workloads.
DIVERSITY and INCLUSION
Recruit Without Borders has a limitless reach to recruit global talent from around the world. A couple fascinating statistics of why a diverse and inclusive workforce matter.
FUTURE BUSINESS
New developments, adding a location, refusing orders due to capacity and more growth related issues are easily addressed. Pre plan a percentage of your future workforce requirements to be foreign workers. Hit the ground running knowing you have a guaranteed staffing solution for your businesses future aspirations.
LONG TERM
The term “temporary” usually gives the wrong impression in the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. Many don’t realize that after the first year of completed work your employee can apply to become a permanent resident of Canada. Their work experience gives a much higher chance that they will be stay a dedicated member of your team for many years to come once their “temporary” status has passed.
